For the first time in the history of FIFA, the World Cup will be played in Qatar, and for the first time in the history the World Cup will be played in Winter (November-December).
8 stadiums will host the final tournament matches. Most of the stadiums are newly created specially for the World Cup 2022.

The Lusail Stadium has the largest capacity among the World Cup 2022 stadiums. The stadium will host 10 matches, among them the World Cup 2022 final and one of the semi-finals.
